Martin Garage Door Opener DC2722

“All Martin Garage door openers are powered by quiet DC motors.”

The Martin garage door opener DC2722 is Martin’s newest garage door opener model released in 2010. It features an 800 Newton DC powered motor which is comparable to a 3/4 HP AC motor. This new chain drive garage door opener can be outfitted to lift doors from 7 to 10 feet high.

With a powerful 800 Newton DC powered motor, this model is suitable for all but the heaviest solid wood and carriage house garage doors. For a lighter weight belt drive model, try the DC2500e (1/2 HP). For a model with power comparable to the DC2722 but with a belt drive, consider the DC3700e (3/4 HP). For the heaviest of garage doors, opt for the DC3700HD (1 HP). See our Martin garage door opener comparison to view all Martin residential models side by side.

Martin Garage Door Opener Q7500

All Martin garage door openers are powered by quiet DC motors and all but this model use a belt drive lifting mechanism. One of the advantages of DC power is soft start and stop. In other words, the opener slows down as it gets closer to the top and bottom of its closing cycle. This is not only quieter, but is also easier on the garage door.

The Martin Model DC2722 uses “profiling computer technology” to automatically adjust the push and pull force for opening and closing. Manual force adjustments are not needed.

The Martin DC2722 is dealer installed and carries a 6 year warranty on the motor, chain, parts and rail.
