If you need a quiet, strong garage door opener, the Chamberlain B750 is a solid choice. This model is powered by a quiet, energy-efficient DC motor with the lifting equivalent of a 3/4 HP AC motor.
Most modern garage door openers are using DC motors to not only save energy, but to put more power in a smaller package. They are also very quite.
Relatively Easy Installation
Unless you have a non-standard, high-ceiling garage, everything you need for installation on a 7 foot tall garage door is included. It is a very nice device that can do a lot more relative to its size. Set up, programming, and connection to WiFi is pretty straight forward. If you feel like you’re in over your head on the technical stuff, ask a 14 year old!
If you aren’t reusing mounting hardware from the opener you are replacing, count on 3-4 hours for installation and programming. SMART TIP: Getting help from a friend or family member makes for easier installation.
Convenient and Efficient
The opener uses the Chamberlain’s MyQ mobile app that communicates directly with your Android or iOS device (phone or tablet). This means you can monitor, open or close your garage door from anywhere you have an internet connection. Think you left the garage door open? Just check your MyQ app and close the door if necessary.
NOTE: As of February 2018, the MyQ app does not offer multi-user support. In other words, if you want two people to have access via their smartphone, you must share the same login credentials.
Homelink Compatible

Works With 7, 8 and 10 Foot Tall Garage Doors
Out of the box, the Chamberlain B750 works with 7 foot tall garage doors. For taller garage doors, you need to purchase and install the 8 foot or 10 foot rail extension kit.
Note: If you are just building your garage and have the opportunity to use an 8 foot tall garage door, do it. Especially if you have a larger SUV, or you think there is the possibility that someone, at some time in the future, may buy your house.

“This garage door opener is well built, with quality construction. I really enjoy the two lights. The control unit comes with a motion sensor to turn on the light as well. It took me a full four (4) hours to completely install the unit. If I had reused the old wires, and hardware I could have saved about an hour and half, but I also wanted to mount the control closer to the exit door so the motion sensor would be of more value to me. The instructions are fairly clear to assemble the rail, but it would have been faster if they had labels like 1,2,3,4 on them and also a label to show top. But I figured it out in about 15 minutes..”

There are a lot of “Pros” for this opener, but there are always “Cons” to just about everything. The most common complaint for this model is that Chamberlain does not currently offer multi-user support for its MyQ system. That’s not really a complaint for the Chamberlain B750, but for the MyQ system.
As of February 2018, you will have to share the same login credentials with others whom you want to have smartphone access. For many users, this is not a problem. For others, it’s a real challenge. Chamberlain says they are working to incorporate multi-user access in future updates, but nothing has materialized yet.

Do I need to buy the internet gateway to use this opener with a smartphone?
No. It connects to your home WiFi network and allows you to control the opener with the free Chamberlain MyQ app.
Is there a monthly fee to use the app?
The MyQ apps are available for both Androids and Apple devices and are completely free.
Can the opener operate without Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can control the opener with the included wall control, remotes and wireless, keyless access pad included in the package.
Does this model have a backup battery?
No, this model does not come with a backup battery.
Can the wired wall console be programmed to control more than one opener?
No, the single wall control console cannot control two different garage door openers. The included garage door opener remotes, however, can control up to 3 garage door openers.
Can this garage door opener be programmed to close automatically if left open for some time?
Yes. The opener features a built-in “Timer To Close” (TTC) function. You can choose one of the timer settings that range from 1.5 to 10 minutes or set up your custom time.
Is the wall control button wireless or wired?
The wall control is wired and all the wire necessary for the installation is included.
