Hey everyone, it’s Pat from Garage How To and today we’re going to look at five garage bicycle storage options. If you have one or more bikes in a small or a large garage, there is a solution for you.

Bicycle Storage Options

Bike Hoist - Garage Bicycle Storage

Moving from simple to specialized, your first option is a large nail and a bungee cord. It may sound crazy, but hanging your bike on a nail is cheap, simple, and surprisingly effective.

Next up is a common bicycle hook for about five bucks. You get a pair of screw-in hooks you can attach to your wall or your ceiling and up goes your bike.

While there are many modern versions of the bike storage hook, these simple hooks still get the job done.

Next up we have a wall mounted folding bike rack. These come in single and double bike versions but they both work about the same.

After firmly mounting one to the wall you simply fold up the arms, hang two bikes, and this model also comes with a handy shelf for a helmet or riding shoes.

Next up we have the ceiling mounted bicycle hoist. There are many versions of the bike hoist, but the storage principle is the same.

Mount the hoist to your garage ceiling, attach the hooks to your bike, and hoist it to the ceiling with a rope and pulleys.

Finally, we have the bicycle floor parking rack, also known as a bike stand. These come in many varieties for 1, 2, 3 or more bikes.

If you have smaller kids who might have a hard time lifting their bike to a wall-mounted rack, this is a great option.

From nails and bungee cords to simple and specialized wall and ceiling mounted garage bicycle storage racks, choose one or more that fits your garage, your bike inventory, and your budget.

Enjoy the new space you just created in your garage.
