The Raynor Prodigy garage door opener is a wall-mounted jackshaft model for the residential market. The Prodigy is designed to eliminate overhead mounting and maximize garage space.

Jackshaft garage door openers mount on the wall beside the garage door, making them a good choice for oversized garage doors or non-traditional installations. They also work well with cathedral ceilings and allow more overhead storage.

Raynor Prodigy - Quiet, Powerful DC Motor

Manufactured by the Chamberlain Group, the Prodigy is similar to the Liftmaster Model 3800 and operates with a strong 24 Volt DC motor. The DC motor allows for smooth start and stop that reduces opening and closing noise, and offers the option of adding Raynor's EverCharge™ battery backup system.

The optional EverCharge™ system continues to open and close your garage door opener even if the power goes out. Safety and security features also continue to operate, and the battery recharges when power is restored.

The Prodigy model is equipped with all of Raynor's safety an security features, including Safety Signal™ rolling code security technology and Protector System® Photo Eyes to stop and reverse the garage door if anything interrupts the beam when the door is opening or closing.

NOTE: The Prodigy jackshaft-style opener is designed for installation only on sectional garage doors with torsion lift assemblies.
