The Overhead Door Legacy 800 Belt garage door opener is a DC powered belt drive model comparable to a 1/2 HP AC powered unit. The DC motor provides strong, quiet lifting force. This quiet belt drive garage door opener is designed for heavy single and double car sectional garage doors up to 500 pounds, provided the door is properly balance. This is the same power head as the Legacy 800 Chain drive model, but with a belt drive rail.
Features of the Overhead Door Legacy 800 include a dual light system (up to 120 watts), SmartSet™ limit setting for easy adjustments, CodeDodger® rolling code technology for higher security, and the full complement of safety features, including the Safe-T-Beam® self diagnostic system that stops and reverses the garage door if something gets in the way. The powerful DC motor offers the benefit of soft start and stop for quieter operation and less garage door wear and tear.
The Overhead Door Legacy 800 Belt and Chain garage door openers are new models from Overhead Door Corporation, released in October 2009. This belt drive model, like other Overhead Door openers, is compatible with HomeLink® and Car2U® vehicle-based universal remote systems. Various remote control and wall control options are available from your Overhead Door dealer.
NOTE: The Legacy® 800 Belt models 6030 and 6030-T are suitable for sectional garage doors up to 8' tall.
