The Liftmaster garage door opener model 3850 is a belt drive garage door opener with a powerful 3/4 HPS DC motor and Ever Charge standby power system. The standby power system will open and close your garage door 20 times in 24 hours with no power, continuing to operate all of the opener’s safety and security features, then recharge when the power comes back on.

This top of the line Liftmaster model, part of the professionally installed line from Chamberlain, is similar to the Chamberlain WD962KD Whisper Drive model in Chamberlain’s do-it-yourself line. The Liftmaster 3850 is powerful, too, with 3/4 HPS® (horsepower strength similar to other 3/4 HP Chamberlain models) DC motor to lift even the heaviest of garage doors.
