The LiftMaster garage door opener model 3130 is a 1/3 HP screw drive garage door opener designed for smooth, dependable service in extreme temperatures. The model 3130 is from LiftMaster's Contractor Series of openers and is a basic, no-frills opener suitable for lighter-weight single and double car garage doors. The model 3130 also includes LiftMaster's re-redesigned one-piece galvanized steel rail for reduced friction and virtually maintenance-free operation.

If you need a low maintenance, screw drive garage door opener without all the bells and whistles, this may get the job done for you. Keep in mind this is the least powerful screw drive model on the market, has a single button remote control, 100 watts of light and limited options. As with all LiftMaster garage door openers for the residential market, the model 3130 includes the full complement of safety and security options and has received the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.

This Contractor Series LiftMaster garage door opener model is part of the extensive professionally installed line of openers from Chamberlain. Before you start adding options to the Model 3130, you might want to consider the Premium Series Model 3240 or the Elite Series Model 3840, both of which have more power and more options. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, Chamberlain does not offer a 1/3 HP model in their line, but the Chamberlain Model PD432D is a 1/2 HP model you may want to consider.
