Genie Garage Door Opener Manual
Federally mandated anti-entrapment measures were not required on garage door openers until 1993. Garage door sensors, door sensors and other safety measures were almost non-existent.
This led to unnecessary damage, personal injuries and worse. Small children, grandchildren and pets can all be seriously injured or killed by a garage door that does not automatically reverse when it encounters a person or object in its path. Explore Genie garage door openers to see what's new.
If you have lost or damaged one of your Genie remotes, or you need another one for someone else in your family, find brand-specific and universal models on the garage door remotes page.
Many manufacturers have deleted pre-1993 manuals due to the change in Federal safety standards. You will find manuals for some discontinued models here, but we highly recommend you look at a new Genie model if yours is older than 1993.
We will do our best to continue offering as many Genie garage door opener manuals as are available. We are archiving older manuals to preserve access. Check the bottom of the list to find manuals and instructions for accessories, like garage door remotes and keyless entry keypads.
