Chamberlain Garage Door Opener
Model PD212D

"The Chamberlain PD212D is built with an industrial strength
chain and enclosed gear case that continuously lubricates the chain"

The Chamberlain garage door opener model PD212D is another of Chamberlain's 1/2 HP chain drive garage door openers in the mid-range Power Drive® line. The PD212D is a solid choice for homeowners with single or double garage doors, unless those doors fit in the heavy, solid wooden garage door or carriage house door category.

The Chamberlain PD212D is built with an industrial strength chain and enclosed gear case that continuously lubricates the chain, resulting in smoother operation and a longer service life. With three mid-range Power Drive® models to choose from, choosing the right one for your garage door can be difficult. Use the following comparison to help with your decision:

PD212D - 1/2 HP with a single, 100 Watt Light, Two single-button Remote Controls and one Multi-Function Control Panel. This model carries a 6-year motor warranty.

PD210D - 1/2 HP with a single, 100 Watt Light, One single-button Remote Control and one Multi-Function Control Panel. This model carries a 6-year motor warranty.

PD610D - 1/2 HP with 200 Watts of Light, One multi-function 3-Button Remote Control and one Multi-Function Control Panel. This model has a lifetime motor warranty.

Compare all Chamberlain Models Side-by-Side

The Chamberlain garage door opener model PD212D is a slight step down from the PD610D, with a 6-year rather than lifetime motor warranty, single button rather than 3-button remote control and half as much garage lighting power. On the up side, the PD212D has two remote controls instead of just one, the price is slightly lower than the PD610D, and the lifting power is identical.

The PD212D comes with all of Chamberlain's safety and security features and is relatively easy to install. If your garage door is taller than seven feet, remember to buy the rail extension kit for an 8 or 10 foot tall garage door.
